Innovation in the Silver Economy: Senior Eco-Nect at the forefront of RIES23
We are currently breaking new ground in the fast-growing silver economy market as a partner in the EU Horizon project Senior Eco-Nect. The silver economy has the potential to bring a boom to Slovenia in many economic areas, but especially in the field of health tourism. This will be an important topic for the work of the Health-Medicine SRIP in the coming years and an excellent basis for cooperation with all other SRIPs.
It is in the framework of this project that partners from France, Spain, Ireland and Slovenia, as well as two European associations for accessible tourism and innovation in sport, have prepared the Recommendations for future policies in this area and Handbook, which brings together good practices on outstanding solutions in elderly care.
It was Slovenian charity and volunteering that received the most applause from the participants of the RIES23 Forum, where we were also a twinning partner, at the presentation of SIS EGIZ and SRIP Health-Medicine, Senior Eco Nect projects in Galicia, Spain.
We have also opened the door to sharing good practice and high-tech collaboration in the silver economy beyond the project partnership, for example with the Scottish Public Health Department.
